Who We’re Looking For

Psychiatrists

Psychiatrists are critical in advancing mental health research by designing robust study protocols, conducting comprehensive patient assessments, and interpreting complex clinical data. These professionals are responsible for shaping the direction of research studies, ensuring that they are methodologically sound and clinically relevant.

Key qualifications for psychiatrists at SFCRI include board certification in psychiatry and substantial experience in clinical trials, particularly those focusing on serious mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Additionally, a deep understanding of psychopharmacology and experience in managing diverse patient populations are highly valued.

Psychologists

Psychologists are integral to the research process. They conduct detailed psychological assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions to study participants. Their work not only supports patients’ immediate needs but also contributes to the development of innovative mental health treatments.

Psychologists create and refine therapeutic approaches, ensuring they are effective and evidence-based. Experience in clinical research, particularly with populations affected by bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, is essential. The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapies or other relevant modalities are also highly regarded.

Psychologists will play a vital role in our upcoming mental health research.

Clinical Investigators

Clinical investigators are pivotal in maintaining the integrity and success of clinical studies. They oversee study protocols, ensure that all research activities comply with ethical standards, and meticulously analyze study data to draw meaningful conclusions. Their role is crucial in bridging the gap between research and practice.

Experience in clinical research, especially within the mental health domain, is highly valued for this role. A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and a strong commitment to ethical research practices are essential for clinical investigators at SFCRI, providing a secure and confident foundation for their work.
